Reflections on the Moon

Nine years ago today I packed my entire life in Sweden into 15kgs of luggage to board a plane headed to London. I was alone, scared, somewhat naive and to be honest, terrified. I didn’t know anyone,no job and no plans. The first few months were scary, difficult, confusing and there were times where I wanted to go back. But I didn’t give up. Glad I did as 11 months later I met a wonderful man who is my now my husband.

I cannot but help reflect on the last couple of years and I realise that how far I have come, not materially but as a person and in my spirituality.

It thought me that sometimes you have to take the leap and believe that everything will be okay.

Today I am grateful for doing the things that make me happy with the person I love.

When I do my wishlist tonight, alongside the things I would love to have in my life, I will add a list of all things that I am grateful for.

If you have any questions about how to tap into tonight’s powerful energy and preparing for the #newmoon you can check my guide below

Getting the most out of 2016

Getting the most out of 2016

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas with family and getting ready to usher in 2016 in style. I can’t wait to be counting down and sharing a toast with friends tomorrow night. 2015 has been a really full on year with a lot of highs but with some small lows as well. But such is life isn’t it?  For me, its a balance of both, take the learning lessons from the lows and appreciate the highs. It has been an amazing year of awakening, clarity and guidance for me. I have been so humbled by the wonderful spiritual gifts and new doors opened for me this year. Its been full of lovely people, experiences, learnings, teachings and even travel. I can’t wait for the wonderful things coming to me next year and lots of things are in motion as we speak.

I have had many messages asking for guidance on how to prepare for 2016.  I love messages and sharing my insight so please don’t hesitate to send me a message for ideas for my blog.

Spiritual guidance on preparing for 2016

There is two aspects to this. It is a good idea to get your house ready for the new year. I want to share with you something my mother used to tell me. First of all, as you may know, I grew up in Malaysia and my parents were of mixed religion – Roman Catholic and Hindu. I have relatives who are Buddhist, Muslim, atheist, Baptist and Sikh. So a sort of United Nations of religion and race.  I never knew where religion started and tradition ended when it came to our rituals back when I was growing up. My mother would insist that we clean up the house, the patio and garden a few days before Christmas. We would clean the house, throw or give away unwanted things. My mother would also heat up charcoal pieces on the stove and place them in a small stoneware burner. Fankincense resin would then be thrown on to the charcoal. This would result in an explosion of beautiful scented smoke which would fill the air all around. Till this day I love the smell of frankincense and even have incense which I used in my therapy room.

My mother told me it was to cleanse the house and get it ready for Mahalakshmi the deity of wealth. A clean and bright house would attract the deity to bless it with good luck and fortune.

Mahalakshmi

Mahalakshmi – Hindu Goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity (both material and spiritual).

This concept of cleaning and clearing stuck with me. In fact its instinct that I reach for the vacuum cleaner  a few days before a full moon or a special day.  Here are some of the things you can do to create a welcoming house for the universe!

Shout out to the Universe that you are ready for abundance and 2016!

Preparing your home:

1. Clean and declutter – get the house tidy and ready. Give away unwanted clothes and shoes. You don’t need the clutter and you will need the space for the new year.

2. Sage – Do this tonight or on the 31st or 1st. Make sure you turn the smoke alarm off while you do it and turn it on a few hours after the smoke has settled down. I used an old clean plate to hold my sage, a candle and a medium sized shell to rest the lighted sage. The candle is useful as the sage tends to burn out .  I found lighters uncomfortable to keep lighted. You can use the candle flame to relight the sage as you go around the rooms.  I used good quality white Californian sage sticks.

3. Prayer: As you start off, ask Archangel Michael to ground you and to surround you with his cloak of light. Do this before you start smudging the house. You can say anything you want but this is a powerful prayer I wrote a while ago which a number of people have come back to say has helped. Prayer for Life

Preparing You:

1. How can you invite anyone or anything into your life if its full? Take a look at the dramas in your life, who instigated them and why it happened. Is there a learning lesson somewhere? What can you do about it in 2016? Can you change the way you dealt with situations or do you need to just stop letting people into your life who abuse your kindness?  One thing you would want to avoid though is posting negative posts on social media. There are plenty of those “I am going to have genuine friends” ,”get rid of my negative friends”quotes floating around in social media at the moment.  I feel these generate negativity both for yourself and the people who read it. Deal with things in private and directly.  No need to tell all your 300 or more friends that you are doing a FB cull. Why cause so much hurt for something that doesn’t concern them? I say this from experience so don’t think I am saying it for the sake of saying it. I learned from it and so can you. Negativity is like fat (I should know!). So easy to get but so hard to get rid off! Negativity gets stuck in your mind, your body and in the spiritual layer. I see a lot of this when I do my healing work. It can manifest in a physical as well as mental manner. Stop absorbing negativity so you can welcome more positivity in your life.

2. Meditate – I know its a busy few days for all us but take a minute or two to meditate. You only need earphones and some meditation music or guided meditation so you could do it on a train, before you go to sleep or even in the living room. Obviously don’t do it while cooking or driving. There may be some guidance or clarity given to you during meditation or even just a few moments for Spirit to gather close to you. If you feel cold spots or sensations during meditation, don’t stop…..just enjoy the moment. This is my favourite meditation channel on youtube.

3. You can also ask for guidance and help just before you go to sleep on the 30th, 31st or the 1st.  Think about a goal or plan which you have for 2016 or a problem that may stand in your way in achieving your dreams. Now call on the Angels, spirit guides and/or your spirit family e.g family you have in spirit. Ask them for clarity and guidance for a way forward. Pay attention to any messages, thoughts, images or dreams you may have that night.

4. Be Wishful but grateful. We are so focused on cosmic ordering and asking that we forget to say THANK YOU! Be grateful of everyday we wake up alive! I remember watching Dr Wayne Dyer’s the Shift a while back and wondered why he said “Thank You” the moment he woke up. It hit me later that he was saying thank you for another day of human life. It was more meaningful watching it again this year after his passing.  His words were so powerful and life changing but he remained humble and grateful. Do your wishlist for 2016 but add a gratitute list on the bottom for all the things you were thankful for in 2015. You can go out to the garden and burn it (safely) to send it off to the universe or leave it on your window. Or leave your list on an altar or a scared space.

5. Welcome 2016 – Start your New Year first day with positive intend and in a positive manner. I know its difficult being positive if 2015 has been a dififcult and sad year. Put the intention out that you want to have a good year by being positive and keeping your mind clear from negativity.

What not to do on New Year’s Day:

  • Try not to clean the house on Jan 1 – my mother always says its bad luck to clean the house — its like wiping the good luck away!
  • Avoid spending money – again my mother says you will be spending money all year. So the more money you can keep in your wallet today, the better for you financially.
  • Keep communication positive. Avoid difficult topics, arguments or negativity.

Happy New Year!

I hope 2016 brings you abundance in every way – love, prosperity, luck and peace. May it also bring you closer to your soul purpose

Believe that 2016 will be FANTASTIC!

A Prayer for Life

I wrote this sometime ago and use it whenever I feel a need to ground myself deeply. We begin each day with so much routine and very little time. We run through our days like water through a sieve, but there are times where you just have to stop and say thank you. Christmas is a time of reflection and the start of not only the festive period full of fun and gatherings but of taking stock of our lives. Soon it will be new year’s eve and we stop to look at all the goals we set at the beginning of the year, the people we have lost along the way, the new ones that joined us and the memories we have etched onto our timeline.

Before you start a new goal, a new diet, a new direction, stop and say thank you. Whether you know it or not, you have had help.

Even in the darkest lowest moment of your life……someone out there reached out and pulled you out of that situation, to stand up and move forward.

It could have been a good friend,  a relative in spirit or finding a letter with some inspirational words. It could well have been a beautiful butterfly that sat on your lap as you cried or a quote on your newsfeed on Facebook. There was a force unknown to you that was behind every single action and reaction.

Someone messaged me to ask for a prayer for forgiveness and about saying thank you. I shared this prayer I wrote with her. I channeled this prayer from my Spirit Guide who is an old Indian sage holyman who was deeply philosophical. Sometimes when I share my writings, its always starts with one theme and then goes a little off centre only for it to come together at the end. He doesn’t come to me often but when he does it is always in a very soft, nurturing and loving way. When I channel him, I allow it to happen naturally without trying to control his words or flow so I write as he speaks.

I feel this will be a lovely thing for you to have as stress levels are high and patience is low.this week with the Full Moon on Christmas day. Take a minute to yourself. Close your eyes, take three deep breaths and then open your eyes and read this aloud. If a particular word or sentence resonates with you deeply then stop and let your thoughts wonder to a situation or someone. It may be that you need to forgive someone who has done you wrong and it has been really difficult to do it because of how they made you feel. Don’t think about the need to forgive, think about the feelings they evoked or continue to evoke in you when you think about them or the situation. Release those feelings to the Angels and move on. Let the Angels take care of it so that  you no longer associate the negative feelings with that person so it will be easier to forgive and move on. Once you have finished the prayer just close your eyes once again and say thank you.

Please share with your friends and family. You never know how much someone needs this especially at this time of the year.

Moon Rituals

Guide to writing your intention/wishlist , energising crystals and smudging for full moons

There are certain times in the year when the universe opens a door to release such a force of energy which allows for transformation, for us to “let go” of the old and bring in the “new”, The most common and known time is the days before, during and after a full moon and even more during supermoons.  The energy that allows us to manifest our heart’s desire is amplified.

Full moons are the perfect time to keep your thoughts positive and to think about what you truly need to make your life better. It may be more abundance in the form of money, happiness, a new house or a promotion, baby or a new partner. Put your heart into it and you will be surprised at what you get back.  Keep the faith as at times, the small things appear in your life first to make way for the big ones. How they happen is up to the universe.

Magic happens when you let it go – Angela Mitchell

You have probably heard and read about “wish lists” “Intentions” “letter to the universe” and wondered two things –  and wondered “what the heck are people talking about? and, “how do I go about doing it? I used to make a wish on full moon nights way before I heard of wishlists and cosmic ordering. As a child growing up in Malaysia to a Hindu mother and a Roman Catholic father, I was exposed to superstitions, traditions and myths from both religions and cultures from a young age. Astrology and the phases of the moon feature largely in Hinduism and all good events – weddings, buying a house or making decisions are often done after consulting an astrologist for the perfect date and time. I have always felt the energy of the moon and the universe as a child and I loved watching the night sky. There was something very magical and like most of all, a clear, crisp view of the glowing energy of the mysterious moon made me feel like I was as close as I could be to the heavens.

The following is what I do and believe in. You will have plenty of different opinions and ways to do things. There is really no right or wrongs here. So take what you like and leave what you don’t.

The night before the Full Moon

Intention List/Wishlist, Letter to the Universe, Shopping List etc

Call it what you will but it is simply, a list of what you would like to happen in your life. The top five things you feel you need to live a happy, comfortable and full life. Do it before you go to sleep the night before the full moon. Make it positive and also put in your gratitude for what you have.

Try to be positive and be grateful for what you have as well. Would you continue to help someone who is arrogant, spiteful, demanding, negative, ungrateful or rude?  Not many people would!  So be careful of how you word it. You can be as descriptive and exact as you would like.

For example:

Relationship – I would like to meet a kind, caring and secure man. Must have permanent job with own money and independence, must own his house,  have  enough money to not worry about it. Love travelling and likes watersports. Someone who is positive and energetic. Must get along with my family.  Someone who enjoys walking in the woods and likes my cooking.

Work – I would like a new job with a more leadership role. Location – maximum 45mins from my home. Salary must be above £50.000 and have a good work culture. I would like a role that allows me to work from home at least one day a week. I would like change jobs by December.

Leave it on your altar or on your window which is likely to get the full rays of the moon the night before the full moon. If you have crystals then please put it on top of your note. Get your family especially your children to write their list as well. It is a great way for them to focus on their priorities and learn more about energy and manifesting.

On the night of the full moon

Go out and look at the moon. Doesn’t matter if it is cloudy or if you can’t see it from your garden or front of the house. Its there and its energy will reach you. Ask for help, guidance and feel the energy from the moon’s healing light.

  • Wishlist: Get a clean flower pot or something fire proof to burn the papers in. You can throw in some lose sage leaves in the fire before setting your wishlists on fire. Do it individually and wait until its fully burnt before the next person burns theirs. Close your eyes and concentrate on what you have asked for. Thank the universe for all that you have and ask for help to manifest the list.Do not speak to each other when you are doing this. Close your eyes and look up to the sky and feel the energy. Pay attention to any thoughts or messages that pop into your mind’s eye. Don’t underestimate the power of the Moon and the universe. Answers and solutions become unlocked during these times. If you can’t burn the wishlist then leave it on the window where the mooon rays will hit or on an altar with the crystals on top.
  • 2. Crystals: Full moons are the best time to energise and clean your crysEnergising crystals tals. Put them in a clean transparent bowl. I have a crystal bowl which I use for this purpose but you can use any clear glass bowl or a plastic bag if you can’t find one. Pour in some cooled down boiled water or mineral water into the bowl and cover with cling film.  This protects the crystals from any birds or animals that may get to them during the night. I’ve been doing this for ages and never had a problem. The best way to energise them is to leave them outside but you can also leave them on a window sill if don’t have a garden. Leave them overnight to get the full light of the moon. Bring it in the next day and use the emergised water to water the plants or just wash your face with it. Put your crystals on a paper towel to let them dry out on a table or near the window. They are now fully energised and ready to be used! If you have crystal jewellery then just wash them with the energised water form the other crystals. I am not sure how metals take to being submerged in water. I just give my pendants and rings a little wash with the moon water.

Sage/Smudge

Smudging your house on or before the night of a full moon is to me, is like cleaning your house before you have a party. You want to get rid of the rubbish and make way for a fun event. It is exactly the way I see it. Cleanse your house to renew the energy in your house before you harness the energy of the new moon. Get some good quality Californian white sage, don’t worry if you don’t have anything fancy to put it in. Honestly all I have is a old plate, a medium large shell I found on a beach a while back to rest the sagsagee on. I have a small candle on it so I don’t have to keep burning my finger on the lighter to keep it alight! (You live and learn!) Begin by asking Archangel Michael to ground and protect you. Ask him to surround you with his healing light. Start at the front of the house and face north. Leave the windows open and if its winter, two – one facing the front drive and the other facing the garden. Walk around the house and try to spread the smoke to each and every corner of the house. Keep a clear and positive mind when you do this. Don’t think about anything. Just focus on the light of the candle if need be to keep your focus. If you feel anything negative surrounding you, then ask it to go to the light. finish by putting fire in the sage out by rubbing it out in the shell or plate. Don’t forget to disable the smoke alarm before you light the sage as the smoke will trigger the alarm! Give it a few hours and then reactivate the alarm again. Better to be safe than to be sorry!

Pay attention to the messages that come through your dreams, people, ideas, solutions and synchronistic events in your life.

Happy Manifesting! Feel free to share with your family and friends. Do let me know if you found this article useful.

Supermoon October 27 2015 – Your true potential

Supermoon October 27 2015 – Your true potential

The final super moon of 2015 is heading our way tomorrow. The energies from the last two supermoons in August and September has been intense and some of us have been put through the mill but some of us have showed ‘em who is boss and stepped into your true potential.

Take a step back now and think about what has been happening since August. How did you deal with a difficult time? Did you hear news that broke your heart and your world? The question is…..not what but “how” did you deal with it? Did you let self-pity and remorse swallow you or did you take action?  In every negative action or situation, there is a double positive waiting to happen. Learning lessons await in every situation. Unfortunately most of us close our hearts the moment something bad happens. Bad can mean different things to different people. It could be not being able to get a ticket to a concert, failing an exam, finding out you have a medical condition, a cancelled holiday, breaking up with your partner to something so devastating as losing a loved one.

If I look back on my life, I can now see that while my last big breakup was devastating, I now see that it spurred me to make a life changing decision to move to the UK. I would never had done that if I had just let that relationship define me. I kept getting signs – synchronicity was happening all the time and dreams were vivid at that time. I remember waking up one day and the thought of moving came into my mind. With heart break and fear, clouding my mind, I initially dismissed it. But then the more I thought about it, my heart opened up and I started to picture myself in London. Obviously I was thinking of the likes of Notting Hill and Kensington, not the reality of Tooting Broadway! But the more my heart was open, I was able to really connect to the vision. I listened to my intuition and took action even though I had barely any money to my name or knew anyone in London.  I am truly grateful as I met my husband at the end of my first year and married him two years ago! I would never have met him if I stayed where I was.

How about someone who just heard they have cancer and have six months to live? There is no right or wrong way to deal with that sort of news. Some of us may be strong enough to contemplate spending the first few months running a campaign to raise funds for cancer research for example. Some of us may change the lives of people around us for the better through finances or by being an inspiration.  There could a child in the family who would go on to study medicine to help find a cure for cancer. The possibilities are endless! There is possibility in imPOSSIBLE.

So reflect on all that has happened in the last few months and how you have dealt with it.  Write it down on paper or electronically – whatever is easier for you! You need three columns – one for when, what and how. When it happened, what happened and how you dealt with it. You can add a fourth column – outcome.

Someone came to see me a few months ago and the reading was all about her taking charge of her life, acknowledging what was happening and making things happen. I saw her twice and the message didn’t changed, except for some more additional information. There was only so much a reading can do…nothing will change unless you do! Since then I have seen how she has taken something that has made her so unhappy and turned it into an inspiration to help other people. I can see how much confidence and self-worth she has gained in such a short time. She has also found her voice! I can see from the side lines how she dealt with the issue and the outcome. It’s a big deal so don’t dismiss it. Putting it on paper or where you can go back now and then to update and reflect on what has happened and how far you have come. It also allows us to evaluate where we are now and put everything into perspective.

So now as we prepare for the last Supermoon of 2015 – put everything you want and solutions to your struggles on your list.  Don’t let anything – emotions or situations push you into negativity! Try to be positive and keep a clear mind.

Please be grateful for everything you have and thank the universe for the help that has come your way so far. Put your wishes on a list, burn them tomorrow night before you go to bed and don’t forget to put your crystals out.
