May’s Super “New Moon” Message: We Are Only Human Afterall

May’s Super “New Moon” Message: We Are Only Human Afterall

I suppose we are all guilty of being hard on ourselves at some point in our life. Some of us are quick to overlook certain aspects of other people’s personality or habits but harsh on our own ability or weaknesses. There are times where this becomes overpowering and soul destroying. There are so many of us who go to extremes because we don’t feel “good enough” or unable to cope because we put such high expectations on ourselves. Why is the reason for this? Society, peer pressure or upbringing? I am sure it differs from one person to the other.

I was reminded of this, recently when I jumped into a taxi on my way to the monthly development circle. The taxi man was a young Asian guy who had Rag & Bone man’s song, Human playing in the background. I don’t always chat to taxi drivers unless they start the conversation, mainly because I am usually wrapped up in my own thoughts. I have always used time in taxis as thinking time. This stems from my time as a journalist in Malaysia where I would formulate my story in my head and go through my notes on my way to the newsdesk.

However this time, I really had the urge to speak to this young man. It was as if someone wanted me to speak to him. So I said “Is that Rag ‘n’ Bone man? Knowing fully well it was. He said “Oh who is that….you mean the song? Yes, I said and we got into a conversation about the meaning of the song.

It became clear to me during our short conversation that this was a message he needed to hear  – that he shouldn’t be too hard on himself and he can’t please everyone. There was a vulnerability about him and who knows, this pressure on his shoulders could have led to emotional strain. We were laughing as the taxi pulled up at the venue and said our goodbyes. He was smiling and grinning from ear to ear, and so was I.

I shared this moment with the circle members and it was funny how the theme repeated itself throughout the meditation and inspired speaking.

As one of them said during inspired speaking …tick tock….. you can move forward not back in time. So don’t feel guilty for what has been but move into the future because there is no going back.

Today as I said down to write this guidance, the song that came up on my playlist was Human. I felt that my guide, an old Indian sage popped it into my head so I could write about this today.

The song came out of a conversation Rory Graham (Rag ‘n’ Bones man) had with a friend. Graham explained to NME in a video interview: “You know, people generally moan quite a lot about stuff that isn’t very important and it was like, if you took a little step back from yourself and stopped being selfish and just look around at what’s going on in other people’s lives and you soon realise that it’s just inconsequential; your problem isn’t really a problem anymore.”

So my dear friends, be clear about what you actually want in life, what is important and prioritise. We can sometimes go through life being upset by small things but overlook the things you ought to be worried about. Use this time to filter through your worries and reassess what you want so your next steps will be clear. Remember, we are “only human after all” with flaws and totally imperfect. That is the beauty of our existence. Every day we live is a learning lesson and a step forward.

So what is a supermoon? According to Wiki – a supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. From a spiritual and energy context, it is a time when energy is magnified. Some bring transformation that can be life changing and others, brings things up to the surface which may be difficult to deal with.

We are going to feel a little sandwiched and caught in the middle emotionally and energy. There is a good reason for it as there is another super “new moon” in June. So there will be things popping up this week, good or bad which will be released or completed in June’s super “new moon” on the 24th.

We will get clarity on June 9th’s full “Micro” moon and it intensity will ease off. How do you survive the energy until then?

You will be prodded and buttons will be pushed. This is a very transformational time so even if things are a little up in the air, trust that it is happening for your highest good. Pay attention to what is happening around you and what is the universe trying to say to you?

Our soul knows what is ahead and will guide us to where we need to be. Each and everyone of us have a blueprint of our very existence which is accessed by our soul and our creators. Every step we take makes one part of the puzzle fall into place. It is frustrating but the mysteries of life and death is determined by the laws of Spirit, which we don’t full understand.

Just to summarise, enjoy the here and now, look beyond the pettiness of life because there is a bigger picture for us to enjoy. Stand firm in your convictions, don’t feel you need to over stretch yourself to please people and look after yourself. When you are drained and depleted, there is no way you can help anyone.

Most importantly say yes to the right things – opportunities, ideas and projects.

December 29th New Moon – Embracing your Dark to bring in the Light

December 29th New Moon – Embracing your Dark to bring in the Light

Today and the three days before the new year begins, is an window of opportunity to “let go” and shift our consciousness to acknowledging the dark side of our nature, understanding why and then moving forward.

It is important to see our flaws, in what every shape or form it may take, in order for us to improve and develop both mentally and spiritually. If we shy away from our dark side then we will never be able to work on what drives us away from success, love or life itself.

Your dark side may be something so small in your eyes but has huge influence on your actions and internal struggle. Imagine a computer and all these “stuff” as software or programmes running in the background. Let’s say you’ve unconsciously downloaded a large app like Angry Birds. You forget about it and stop playing it after a while but the programme runs automatically every time you switch on the computer. Soon you start having problems with speed, a full memory and have issues after issues with the computer. Clearly, the app has a strong influence over your computer’s performance despite not being used.

Angel of the Sea is an original Encasutic art by Angela Mitchell

These “stuff” that we clutter our hearts and minds with are like that app. It runs in the background, influencing us whether we want it or not!

Now think about what is limiting you and how is it affecting you? Is it influencing your judgement? Decision making or perhaps attracting the wrong people into your life? What is it that you need to change or remove to be able to do better in 2017?

What blocks are you putting in your way to sabotage your ability to manifest your dreams? This is important to work on as 2017 is a very active year and you want to start with a clear mind and let go of the inner conflict.

I am talking about – fear, being scared of success, telling yourself that you can’t do something, being too passive, not taking personal responsibility, fear of change, anger, jealousy, resentment or holding onto things etc.

It could be something as insignificant such as not listening to people. How does this affect you? Well it can in so many ways, from fractured relationships because you are seen as being “insensitive” to missing opportunities. You could be a bystander in your own life because you don’t participate. The thing is, you have a stake in your life and only you can decide on how you want to be involved. If you are happy with the way things are fine but if you are frustrated with how people perceive you or feel a general sense of unhappiness then it’s time to scrutinise how you treat people.

Some people create massive blocks by just the language they use. I know someone who is always wanting lots of money but just as soon as he says it, will follow with “ ….as if that would happen”  It tells the universe and your own soul that you don’t believe in your ability to work towards the financial success and everything you end up doing will be like a wild goose chase.

So you see these things that we need to change or let go of, vary and have different effect on each individual. You have to look within yourselves and discover it. This is why the “inner journey” is the important life changing and crucial action we will ever undertake.

2016 was about endings and completion which meant it was a difficult year for many of us. It took many of our loved ones away from us. People will serious illnesses or have been hanging by a thread were given relief – transcending into the next level, away from pain and guilt. Yes, I mean guilt. There were a number of people who were dependent on others for their physical day to day care and it was weighing their soul down. It was time for them to go and unfortunately they also took those who were tightly connected with, in this life with them as well.

2017 on the other hand brings with it new beginnings. For those of you who have made big decisions in the last three months of this year will be embarking on a new life or journey which will be both exciting and scary. There will be new jobs, new relationships and even new attitudes. Do you see how important it is to work on the limitations now so that you can get started on the new?

New Moon energy starts on the 28th and goes on for at least a week. The energy is strongest on the 28th, 29th and the 30th. Monday’s Supermoon and Here’s What It Means To You

Monday’s Supermoon and Here’s What It Means To You

New beginnings is part of the plan

On Monday, we will witness a spectacular sight on our skies. The moon will be bigger and brighter than it has ever been in 60 years. It is called “perigee full moon” because it’s the closest to earth on its orbit. The moon hasn’t been this close to earth since 1948!

The weather is so unpredictable in the UK so I am hoping we will be able to see it. As this week unfolded, the energy levels heightened and then crashed on November 8. The US election result was on 8/11/2016. If we total the numbers – 8 +1+1+2+0+1+6 = 1.  the number one is about new beginnings and moving forward. Without being too political, Trump signaled change and a clean slate as far as the presidency is concerned. You can say that Clinton represented a known entity as being Secretary of State and a former First Lady.

I do not foresee Trump staying in power for long. The next eight months will be interesting for America and the world in general.

Fear … what are you holding on to?

This made me think about how we go around expecting one thing but totally blindsided by certain things that are out of our control. We fear the unknown because its unfamiliar. I feel the universe is trying to expand our consciousness and teach us a lesson in being open to the unexpected. The rules of engagement have changed. So, don’t expect normal and easy. Just trust that its happening for a good reason and be open to change.  Don’t hold to fear as it will manifest negatively in all aspects of your life.

Have you been seeing numbers – 11, 222, 444?

A lot of people have been in touch to say they are seeing 11, 44, or even 22 these last two weeks. The repeating numbers of sequences to do with “1” indicates a new beginning, so if you have been resisting change, take a step back and consider what you need to change to move forward. Some people go through huge life changes when they keep seeing the master number “1111” which is a  wakeup call from the divine. 2016 has seen numerous relationship breakups which at first sounds like a bad thing. However, if you believe in the saying “something’s gotta give” then it makes sense people will either try to make it work or end it. When something is broke, no matter how much you try to hide it, the problems will always rise to the surface until you have to face it! As someone who has gone through divorce and the nastiness beforehand, I can safely say that it was the best thing that happened to me!  At that time, I felt my life had ended but now I know my life had just begun at that point.

If you keep seeing no 4, this is time for you to put your skills to the test. You are being reminded that the solution is in your hands, take responsibility for your life and act.  It also indicates that to succeed, you need to improve your organisation skills and be more practical. Meanwhile the number two is about patience, going the distance and to beware of your communication skills. Be flexible and open to other people’s ideas.

Moon Rituals

I know the energy this week has been tough. People have had trouble sleeping, issues cropping up and wrapped in fear. The theme is change and the issue is fear of the unknown. There are plenty of triggers from not being able to see the future to feeling a little lost.

People are super sensitive and upset now so some of them off loading their negativity into their online communications. Time to take a step back and detox from technology.

Focus instead on people who love you and spending time with them. Put your energy into what you WANT rather than what you DON’T want. Remember that manifesting is like having a mirror in front of you. It can’t ascertain if what you are manifesting is positive or negative. It tries to make it happen either way. So, if you are constantly negative and nothing is working out, then be mindful of your language and thoughts. If you constantly say “what is the point” ” it won’t happen” “why bother” ‘I’ll always be poor” then that is what will happen.

Pull yourself out of your situation by focusing on what could happen and then make it happen. The most successful people in the world like Oprah who was poor, abused and had no hope did. Look at her now. If she stayed in that place of darkness and pain then she would not be the inspiration she is to millions.

So this is your reminder to put your positive hat on and do my Moon Ritual. You can do it tonight or on Monday evening. The moon effect is felt in our space the day before and up to the day after the full moon.

I truly hope this full moon will bring you all that you wish for. As always if you like what you have read then please do share with your friends and family. You never know who needs guidance.

Blue Moon – or should we call it the Truth Moon?

Blue Moon – or should we call it the Truth Moon?

I recently talked about our life purpose and about speaking the truth in my blog post – Life Purpose  It was one of my full blown channeled writing for which I received lots of great feedback and lovely messages by people who resonated with my writing. I am always very touched and humbled when this happens.

Well we are coming to full circle this weekend, starting with tomorrow’s full moon which is also called the “blue moon”. This is an important but emotional full moon for the sensitive, empath and those with fiery tempers. Things have been cropping up to challenge you lately from people pushing you for answers to finding out the truth a situation, the motives behind certain situations which has been hidden from you. The challenge is not what you are being faced with – it is HOW you deal or face it which will make the difference. Your spiritual lesson this weekend is about options and perspective. Use it to your advantage. You may well surprise yourself and realise how you have changed!

The Blue Moon isn’t actually blue but WIKI suggests its related to the fact its a rare occurrence of 13 moons a year rather than 12 and perhaps this is where “once in a blue moon” comes from. The spiritual meaning relates to the Throat chakra which influences our communications and the “truth”. This is your time to shine and be brave. Take the bull by the horns and get yourself into gear.  Stop being led and be the one leading. I sense a lot people cutting ties with people and situations which no longer serve their highest good. Some of you may feel like everything is crumbling under your feet but please believe that you are strong, able and finally free to do what you want. Don’t be afraid, be positive and see every challenge as a reason to succeed.

If it all gets a little too much then go back to basics – take a deep breath, take a walk, listen to music – do whatever you need to do to keep calm.  Take your time, rest, drink plenty of water and ride the tide. You will feel better and have clarity in the next days and weeks.

This is such a strong time for manifesting and getting your heart’s desire from a dream into a reality so don’t give up! Read my article on Full Moon Rituals to positively harness the energy that is being given to us.

Tomorrow’s Blue Moon has a stronger significance because it falls on the 21st which totals to 3 which is all about communication and expressing yourself! The number 3 also signifies growth, abundance and a powerful manifesting vibration! What does this mean? personal growth allows us to grow closer to our life purpose. For example if you are in a 9-5 office job but your life purpose is really to start your own business then a catalyst must be found to trigger this “new life”.  It could be being made redundant, your office moving to a different city or even being fired, which sounds horrible but there needs to be a reason for that next step and if you are too comfortable, nothing will happen. The universe instigates events which can be painful, unfair and difficult but it is part of the bigger plan.

The number 3 guides us to trust our intuition, stop listening to everyone else, instead let your own soul guide you to the next level. Be optimistic that your future is in the hands of the Angels, God, the universe or deities – whatever your believes may be.

I always get loads of downloads and messages in my dreams close to and during  full moons  which I write down in my dream book the moment  I wake up.  Its great way to keep track of your dreams, take note of messages and see how it relates to your life.

Use this beautiful energy to manifest abundance. Read my article on Full Moon Rituals  which is my free gift to you. It is a collection of rituals which I use personally and share with my clients and students. There is a lot more to it which you can learn at my workshops but this is a good starting point.

I leave you with lots of love and may the Blue Moon bring you closer to your Soul’s Mission and bring you plenty of abundance and joy.

Why Spirits appear to us even after rituals and ceremonies

Why Spirits appear to us even after rituals and ceremonies

I was chatting with a friend the other lady about religious/cultural rituals for the dead and spirits. She was under the impression that the Hindu rituals were to release the soul to the next life or place so they wouldn’t haunt or come back to our physical world. This was a very interesting topic for me as I have said before, my mom came from a very strict Hindu background while my dad was a Roman Catholic. We are closet Hindus though was my paternal grandmother and that side of the family did not like us “mixing religions”. I know my dad resonated more with Hinduism and the rituals probably because he spent a lot of time studying and travelling in India. He was also very spiritual and a great follower of yoga, meditation and self awareness. He had in his lifetime met some of the most important yogis and spiritual gurus and learned almost every meditation or yoga technique. This is before it all became trendy and hip. It was the time when yoga, meditation and spirituality was a holistic approach to life . Despite the peer pressure to not practice Hinduism, my mother always managed to sneak in a temple trip, a ritual here and a prayer there.

As a result I was lucky enough to witness and take part lots of rituals, from new born baby ceremonies to sending off the dead and even coming of age rituals. Some of which I understand and accept but I still never understood why I had to down glasses of raw eggs with castor oil for a month when I first got my period. It was sheer torture and I still gag when I see raw eggs. Ewwww! Apparently the old wives tale was that the mixture helps to aid childbirth. Protein from the eggs for nutritional reasons, to give you strength and the castor oil supposedly helps baby’s journey into the world smoother. I could be wrong but how is force feeding a 14 year old help labour years later? Jury is out on this one for me. But you see there is such so many different rituals, ceremonies, myths and old wive tales to navigate through and this is not just for Indians or Hindus, its in almost every culture, religion or country around the world.

The rituals for the dead in Hinduism is to be a great send off. It is such a beautiful and sacred time for the living to bond with the dead. I always found cremation as the most sensible and quietly satisfying way for the dead to leave us. I remember my dad feeling extremely guilty about not visiting his dad and years later, his mom’s grave. There was pressure to ensure the graves were maintained and squabbles within the family about who should take responsibility. It almost felt that “grandma or grandpa was there – just under neath the moss covered head stone. There was so much emphasis on the grave that we forget they are with us all the time and everywhere. In fact they are least likely to hover around their grave when they no longer have the connection to their physical form.

My father had a Christian funeral leading up to the crematorium. I still choke up when I hear Amazing Grace. Brings me back to the church where I sat like I had a huge stone in my stomach. The Hindu ceremony was a serene, peaceful and spiritual affair. We drove a long way on a narrow road to a different town with my dad’s ashes. I was a little apprehensive about having his ashes so close but remember, I was still resisting my spirituality in those days.  We had a car load of flowers, incense, fruits and a long list of things the priest had asked us to bring including his payment.  We arrived at a very humble shrine set precariously on the edge of a very fast moving river. My brother, as the son was asked to put on a “vaisti” and take his shirt off. The priest put on a thick thread around him and did some special prayers to “protect” him. Obviously now I do question why he needed protection as my dad was unlikely to want to hurt his beloved son and spirits vibrate on love not hate.

We watched as they both waded into the middle of the river which was tricky as the stones underneath were slippery and the undercurrents strong. They poured his ashes into a brass container and the priest chanted mantras as my dad was released to the river. As my brother poured him little by little into the water, the light grey cloud blended into the water, turning dark and then disappear as quickly as they appeared.

And suddenly dawn  broke and a ray of light hit my brother and the brass container he was holding so we were all dazzled with golden light for a minute. And then a flock of birds appeared out of no where and flew up in the sky and away. It was the most beautiful moment of my life and I cried but it was from happiness. I knew right then and there that my dad was free and in peace. I saw it as a send off, the best way to let him go on to whatever came next.

The conversation I had with this lady was about rituals Hindus such as these. Proper Hindu rituals would have more to it than what we did for my dad but they have a similar purpose. I found a beautiful article on this which was an interesting read.

Back to the question about these rituals serving a purpose e.g so they won’t come back and why and how spirits communicate with Mediums, well the answer is simple. These rituals are simply man made ceremonies which were put into place as a way for the living to say goodbye and send off their loved ones who have passed.  In the stone age, I can only assume that when someone died, they would either leave them somewhere far away or bury them. But then people would have found it really difficult to cope with the loss – of their presence, their laughter and personality around them. Not being able to reach out and touch someone, knowing you will never be able to do so is a huge part of the grieving process. Eventually mankind realised they had to do something to mark the passing of another human being and every culture and religion have their own way of saying goodbye.

Hindus have very specific rituals to follow when someone has passed and the first year anniversary for example is a big event. There is lots of things to buy, make, cook and prepare and people to invite. Food is cooked and a separate setting with food, drinks and lot of ceremonial items placed near the persons’ photo. After a long and very intensive prayer session, everyone sits down for a meal. Tears are shed, stories told and hearts full of memories.

The spirit world appreciates such gestures and look down on these days with fondness but they need nothing except our love and to be remembered.  They don’t come back to us to haunt us but only to say hello and to let you know they still love and care.

Why do they “come back” ? Wouldn’t you if you had a chance to speak through a medium or to visit the family to see how they are getting on? It always boils down to “what would you do if you had the chance?  They don’t actually come back but merely a moment occurs where they can see us and realise they are able to communicate. Its like a veil has lifted and a special flash second of love between the two worlds is possible.

Put what you have been told about the dead, death and the spirit world — just open your hearts to the possibilities.
