Special 2017 New Year Guidance – 7 ways to tap into the Energy

Special 2017 New Year Guidance – 7 ways to tap into the Energy

There is no doubt that 2016 was a difficult year, but throughout it, there were lessons to be learned, people to be loved, laughter, friendship, growth and love.

We have become more resillient, wiser, aware and open to new challenges. 2016 saw the UK shaken up by the Brexit vote – to LEAVE. A huge lesson for the country and those who like to stay in their comfort zones. We can take personal lessons from this situationImage result for 2017. People tend to want everything to stay the same. There are many who will rather stay in a dead end job or a unhealthy relationship because it is familiar and maybe even easy. But then change is forced on them – losing their job or their partner decides to leave them, giving them no other choice except to change.  Life will not stay the same just because you want it to. Be prepared to move, evolve and change or life will do it for you, painfully.

2016 has prepared us to expect the unexpected. This was evident in the US elections. Everyone expected Hillary to win as it was expected that experience would win over controversy. The laws of the universe is changing so has our rules. 2017 is a year of ACTION. We had spent enough time contemplating what we want and how we are going to get it so now the time is ripe for getting things done.

Don’t over think things this year. Try something and if you fail, take it as a trial run. People will judge you no matter what you do. There will always be someone saying something about nothing. So listen to yourself and be proud of your achievements.

Working with a clear mind will set your spirit free to explore.  Use this  surge of energy to move forward in all aspects of your life. 2017 is a “ONE” year which in numerology means the start of a new phase in our lives. A lot more pregnancies ,birth and engagements will be announced. This is the start of a new cycle for humanity after the completion though the passing of so many souls last year. We will see a lot more people embarking on new journeys some which will surprised everyone around them and others will decide to take time off to go explore. 2016 provided us with an opportunity to truly understand our life purpose and find our “happy”.  2017 will help tap into our heart and intuition to bring forth solutions for our problems.

The first three months of 2017 will be crucial for intention setting to set the tone for the year. There is also a strong call to put yourself first and look after yourself, from a mental, physical and spiritual way.

2016 help to uncover old belief patterns, self sabotage traits and even childhood conditioning that were holding you back. If you haven’t already dealt with some of this, then 2017 is not going to be easy as you will only be carrying it forward into the new year. It will feel like you are going around in circles and not getting anywhere. You can’t move forward if you mind is stuck in the past. There will be challenges but you will realise how strong and how far you have come, as it will be easier to deal with and get over things compared to the last couple of years.Image result for cords attached spiritual

Seven ways to tap into the energy 2017 will bring us:

  • Be flexible – don’t put restrictions on yourself. Allow yourself to explore and try things out without the fear of failing.
  • Don’t let judgement stop you. There will always be someone judging you, regardless of what you do so why stop yourself from trying?
  • Release control – things get easier when you resist the need to control everything and others.
  • Growth – there is an opportunity to grow, so try new things, whether it is dating, a new course or hobby. Do something different this year.
  • Say yes – to the right things. Say yes to yourself!
  • Believe – some of you will be embarking on new adventures – relationships, living arrangements and even career – be positive as it will be both exciting and scary!
  • Independence – 2017 will see some of us wanting to spend more time on our own, asserting our independence and even wanting to break free from the norm. A very individual and assertive time, embrace it!

Do more of “SCARY” so you have nothing left o be scared about.

New Year blessings to you all. I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful and happy year.

Tamil New Year, is the celebration of the first day of the Tamil new year in mid-April by Tamils in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in India, Sri Lankan Tamils and Indian Tamils of Sri Lanka, and by Tamils in Malaysia, Singapore, and Mauritius.

May this Tamil New Year
Brings you lot of good things
in your life.
May the God blesses always
In your life for the entire year ahead.
“Eniya Puthandu Vazthukal”

Peacock themed Kolam

You will find most Tamil homes decorated outside with “Kolams” a beautiful handcrafted design made from coloured powder or rice made by the lady or ladies of the house. Preparations also involve cleaning the house, to welcome the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, making delicacies to enjoy and prayers. Although my family is not strictly of Tamil origin and nor are we Hindus. we celebrate everything in Malaysia and plus half of my relatives are Hindus so we joined in everything.

May Lakshmi visit your home today and bless you with health, wealth and happiness.

Some interesting facts from Wiki:

The Tamil New Year follows the vernal equinox and generally falls on 14 April of the Gregorian year. 14 April marks the first day of the traditional Tamil calendar and is a public holiday in both Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.Tamil people celebrate Tamil new year on 14 April. This is the month of Chitterai, the first month of the Tamil solar calendar. On the eve of Puthandu, a tray arranged with three fruits (mango, banana and jack fruit), betel leaves and arecanut, gold/silver jewellery, coins/money, flowers and a mirror is placed. This is to be viewed upon waking in the morning. In the temple city of Madurai, the Chitterai Thiruvizha is celebrated in theMeenakshi Temple. A huge exhibition is held, called Chitterai Porutkaatchi. In some parts of Southern Tamil Nadu, it is called Chittirai Vishu. The day is marked with a feast in Tamilhomes and entrances to the houses are decorated elaborately with kolams. In most parts of India, one can see neem trees blooming with their flowers and the first batch of mangoes hanging prominently. This day is celebrated by some communities with neem flowers and raw mangoes to symbolize growth and prosperity.

Getting the most out of 2016

Getting the most out of 2016

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas with family and getting ready to usher in 2016 in style. I can’t wait to be counting down and sharing a toast with friends tomorrow night. 2015 has been a really full on year with a lot of highs but with some small lows as well. But such is life isn’t it?  For me, its a balance of both, take the learning lessons from the lows and appreciate the highs. It has been an amazing year of awakening, clarity and guidance for me. I have been so humbled by the wonderful spiritual gifts and new doors opened for me this year. Its been full of lovely people, experiences, learnings, teachings and even travel. I can’t wait for the wonderful things coming to me next year and lots of things are in motion as we speak.

I have had many messages asking for guidance on how to prepare for 2016.  I love messages and sharing my insight so please don’t hesitate to send me a message for ideas for my blog.

Spiritual guidance on preparing for 2016

There is two aspects to this. It is a good idea to get your house ready for the new year. I want to share with you something my mother used to tell me. First of all, as you may know, I grew up in Malaysia and my parents were of mixed religion – Roman Catholic and Hindu. I have relatives who are Buddhist, Muslim, atheist, Baptist and Sikh. So a sort of United Nations of religion and race.  I never knew where religion started and tradition ended when it came to our rituals back when I was growing up. My mother would insist that we clean up the house, the patio and garden a few days before Christmas. We would clean the house, throw or give away unwanted things. My mother would also heat up charcoal pieces on the stove and place them in a small stoneware burner. Fankincense resin would then be thrown on to the charcoal. This would result in an explosion of beautiful scented smoke which would fill the air all around. Till this day I love the smell of frankincense and even have incense which I used in my therapy room.

My mother told me it was to cleanse the house and get it ready for Mahalakshmi the deity of wealth. A clean and bright house would attract the deity to bless it with good luck and fortune.

Mahalakshmi

Mahalakshmi – Hindu Goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity (both material and spiritual).

This concept of cleaning and clearing stuck with me. In fact its instinct that I reach for the vacuum cleaner  a few days before a full moon or a special day.  Here are some of the things you can do to create a welcoming house for the universe!

Shout out to the Universe that you are ready for abundance and 2016!

Preparing your home:

1. Clean and declutter – get the house tidy and ready. Give away unwanted clothes and shoes. You don’t need the clutter and you will need the space for the new year.

2. Sage – Do this tonight or on the 31st or 1st. Make sure you turn the smoke alarm off while you do it and turn it on a few hours after the smoke has settled down. I used an old clean plate to hold my sage, a candle and a medium sized shell to rest the lighted sage. The candle is useful as the sage tends to burn out .  I found lighters uncomfortable to keep lighted. You can use the candle flame to relight the sage as you go around the rooms.  I used good quality white Californian sage sticks.

3. Prayer: As you start off, ask Archangel Michael to ground you and to surround you with his cloak of light. Do this before you start smudging the house. You can say anything you want but this is a powerful prayer I wrote a while ago which a number of people have come back to say has helped. Prayer for Life

Preparing You:

1. How can you invite anyone or anything into your life if its full? Take a look at the dramas in your life, who instigated them and why it happened. Is there a learning lesson somewhere? What can you do about it in 2016? Can you change the way you dealt with situations or do you need to just stop letting people into your life who abuse your kindness?  One thing you would want to avoid though is posting negative posts on social media. There are plenty of those “I am going to have genuine friends” ,”get rid of my negative friends”quotes floating around in social media at the moment.  I feel these generate negativity both for yourself and the people who read it. Deal with things in private and directly.  No need to tell all your 300 or more friends that you are doing a FB cull. Why cause so much hurt for something that doesn’t concern them? I say this from experience so don’t think I am saying it for the sake of saying it. I learned from it and so can you. Negativity is like fat (I should know!). So easy to get but so hard to get rid off! Negativity gets stuck in your mind, your body and in the spiritual layer. I see a lot of this when I do my healing work. It can manifest in a physical as well as mental manner. Stop absorbing negativity so you can welcome more positivity in your life.

2. Meditate – I know its a busy few days for all us but take a minute or two to meditate. You only need earphones and some meditation music or guided meditation so you could do it on a train, before you go to sleep or even in the living room. Obviously don’t do it while cooking or driving. There may be some guidance or clarity given to you during meditation or even just a few moments for Spirit to gather close to you. If you feel cold spots or sensations during meditation, don’t stop…..just enjoy the moment. This is my favourite meditation channel on youtube.

3. You can also ask for guidance and help just before you go to sleep on the 30th, 31st or the 1st.  Think about a goal or plan which you have for 2016 or a problem that may stand in your way in achieving your dreams. Now call on the Angels, spirit guides and/or your spirit family e.g family you have in spirit. Ask them for clarity and guidance for a way forward. Pay attention to any messages, thoughts, images or dreams you may have that night.

4. Be Wishful but grateful. We are so focused on cosmic ordering and asking that we forget to say THANK YOU! Be grateful of everyday we wake up alive! I remember watching Dr Wayne Dyer’s the Shift a while back and wondered why he said “Thank You” the moment he woke up. It hit me later that he was saying thank you for another day of human life. It was more meaningful watching it again this year after his passing.  His words were so powerful and life changing but he remained humble and grateful. Do your wishlist for 2016 but add a gratitute list on the bottom for all the things you were thankful for in 2015. You can go out to the garden and burn it (safely) to send it off to the universe or leave it on your window. Or leave your list on an altar or a scared space.

5. Welcome 2016 – Start your New Year first day with positive intend and in a positive manner. I know its difficult being positive if 2015 has been a dififcult and sad year. Put the intention out that you want to have a good year by being positive and keeping your mind clear from negativity.

What not to do on New Year’s Day:

  • Try not to clean the house on Jan 1 – my mother always says its bad luck to clean the house — its like wiping the good luck away!
  • Avoid spending money – again my mother says you will be spending money all year. So the more money you can keep in your wallet today, the better for you financially.
  • Keep communication positive. Avoid difficult topics, arguments or negativity.

Happy New Year!

I hope 2016 brings you abundance in every way – love, prosperity, luck and peace. May it also bring you closer to your soul purpose

Believe that 2016 will be FANTASTIC!

A Prayer for Life

I wrote this sometime ago and use it whenever I feel a need to ground myself deeply. We begin each day with so much routine and very little time. We run through our days like water through a sieve, but there are times where you just have to stop and say thank you. Christmas is a time of reflection and the start of not only the festive period full of fun and gatherings but of taking stock of our lives. Soon it will be new year’s eve and we stop to look at all the goals we set at the beginning of the year, the people we have lost along the way, the new ones that joined us and the memories we have etched onto our timeline.

Before you start a new goal, a new diet, a new direction, stop and say thank you. Whether you know it or not, you have had help.

Even in the darkest lowest moment of your life……someone out there reached out and pulled you out of that situation, to stand up and move forward.

It could have been a good friend,  a relative in spirit or finding a letter with some inspirational words. It could well have been a beautiful butterfly that sat on your lap as you cried or a quote on your newsfeed on Facebook. There was a force unknown to you that was behind every single action and reaction.

Someone messaged me to ask for a prayer for forgiveness and about saying thank you. I shared this prayer I wrote with her. I channeled this prayer from my Spirit Guide who is an old Indian sage holyman who was deeply philosophical. Sometimes when I share my writings, its always starts with one theme and then goes a little off centre only for it to come together at the end. He doesn’t come to me often but when he does it is always in a very soft, nurturing and loving way. When I channel him, I allow it to happen naturally without trying to control his words or flow so I write as he speaks.

I feel this will be a lovely thing for you to have as stress levels are high and patience is low.this week with the Full Moon on Christmas day. Take a minute to yourself. Close your eyes, take three deep breaths and then open your eyes and read this aloud. If a particular word or sentence resonates with you deeply then stop and let your thoughts wonder to a situation or someone. It may be that you need to forgive someone who has done you wrong and it has been really difficult to do it because of how they made you feel. Don’t think about the need to forgive, think about the feelings they evoked or continue to evoke in you when you think about them or the situation. Release those feelings to the Angels and move on. Let the Angels take care of it so that  you no longer associate the negative feelings with that person so it will be easier to forgive and move on. Once you have finished the prayer just close your eyes once again and say thank you.

Please share with your friends and family. You never know how much someone needs this especially at this time of the year.
